North Texas Vaccine Hubs
The state of Texas has a plan to help patients get their vaccines soon. Large vaccine hubs are in place to make vaccinations more accessible to the communities that need them, while also serving larger groups of people quickly. Everyone is encouraged to register for a vaccine waitlist at their hub location of choice for the COVID-19 vaccine.
Currently, Phases 1a and 1b qualify for a COVID-19 vaccination
You must meet the criteria below:
Phase 1a: Front-line healthcare workers and residents at long-term care facilities
Phase 1b: Those age 65 and older or individuals with a chronic health condition putting them at a higher risk for serious illness from COVID‑19
As the vaccine supply increases, hub locations will be added each week. If eligible, we encourage you to register through a local hub as it will be the fastest way to obtain your COVID-19 vaccine. Please note you may be placed on a waitlist depending on the chosen location.
You may be required to show proof you meet the criteria for the current vaccination phase.
NOTE: While it’s true physician’s offices and pharmacies received approval to administer the vaccine throughout Texas, the timing regarding when they will receive them is unknown. The state ships the majority of vaccines to vaccine hubs, and the smaller locations anticipate they will receive only small allotments. The decision is made by the state of Texas.
