Downtown Dallas Art, Architecture & History Tour (FREE) + Lunch After!

We invite you to join us for a FREE guided walking tour of downtown Dallas focusing on the Big D’s art, architecture and history.

Highlights include:

The AT&T Discovery District

The Giant Eyeball Sculpture by Tony Tassett

The Historic Majestic Theatre

Thanks-Giving Square & Thanks-Giving Chapel by Philip Johnson

The Whaling Wall Mural by Robert Wyland

Several Historical Markers, Noteworthy Buildings & Public Art Works

Optional Lunch Afterwards at the AT&T Exchange (Food) Hall

Our walk will be hosted by Robert Kelleman and will cover approximately 2 miles at a moderate pace, with several stops along the way for pictures, etc.

Event Details …

Cost: FREE for the guided walking tour. Optional lunch afterward at your own expense.

Parking: Several options throughout the area. Please arrive in the area several minutes early so that you have time to find parking and walk to our meeting point.

Before the Event: Optional breakfast, socializing and restrooms from 8:45 to 9:15 at the Flying Horse Café.

Meeting Point: 9:15 at the Flying Horse Café (1401 Commerce Street – inside the Magnolia Dallas Downtown). https://www.flyinghorsecafe.com/ – please be on-time or early.

Icebreaker Introductions: We should have a good-sized group and so instead of everyone introducing themselves to the group we will get to know each other by distributing blank stickers and colored markers and we’ll ask everyone to write down on their sticker: 1). first name. 2). favorite food. 3). dream vacation. Example: “Michele – Strawberries – Kenya” or “Robert – Chocolate – Tokyo”.

Late Arrivals: Follow the Itinerary below and catch-up.

Walking Distance: Approximately 2.0 miles at a moderate pace with several stops along the way.

Ending Point: AT&T Discovery District
