Fort Worth Opera, in partnership with with Dementia Friendly Fort Worth and the United Way Area Agency on Aging in Texas, launched “Music, Memory, and More,” a seven-week series that is designed to engage individuals living with dementia in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Each performance will be followed by an interactive activity designed specifically for those with dementia where the guest presenter guides participants through activities engaging aspects such as movement, music therapy, call and response interaction and socialization. Supported in part by a special grant from the Texas Commission of the Arts.
