5 Ways to Make Mother’s Day 2020 Special Despite the Coronavirus

Mother’s Day 2020 is not cancelled

If you are lucky enough to still have a mom in your life, make sure she knows how much you cherish her. The annual spa day or special dinner out may not work this Mother’s Day, but there are other wonderful options. With a little creativity and advance planning, you can give mom the attention and love she deserves – and needs – right now. You don’t have to be together to show your affection.

Send a Beautiful Card with a Personal Note

How nice is it to find a personal letter in the mailbox? Take some time to write down your thoughts to let mom know you appreciate her. Include some memories from your childhood.

Eat Dinner Together (Virtually)

Arrange to have similar meals delivered to bother your homes from local restaurants. Enjoy dinner and conversation using Zoom or Facetime. Dress up a bit more than usual (at least from the waist up) to make your time together a little more special. Include a glass of wine for each of you to toast the woman who raised you.

Does your mom play Mah Jong? Cards? Trivia games? It’s easy these days to set up an online game together.

Brunch Delivery

Order brunch from her favorite local restaurant. Arrange for delivery around the time she usually wakes.

TRAVEL SOMEWHERE ON HER BUCKET LIST

You don’t necessarily need to get on a plane to sight see anymore. You can tour many scenic locations online. Connect by phone while you browse the sights together on your respective computers.

For those who lost their moms, reach out to another woman who provided you with love and support over the years.

And if you have other ideas, please share them in the comment section below! We’d love to hear from you.
