I love Thin Mint Girl Scout cookies – always have. These homemade thin mint cookies taste just like the real deal and are simple to make in only 10 minutes using oreo cookies. Only 3 ingredients for this copy cat version!
Ingredients
- 13 Oreo Cookies, separated with middle cream scraped off
Instructions
- Melt chocolate and peppermint extract in a microwave safe bowl and melt in 20 second increments until creamy. Or combine the 2 ingredients to melt in a double boiler.
- Dip each Oreo half (without middle cream) into the chocolate. Use a fork to flip over to ensure the cookie is coated with chocolate on both sides.
- Place dipped cookies on waxed paper. Allow to set for a couple hours until chocolate hardens.
- Makes 26 cookies. Enjoy now or freeze for later (taste great right out of the freezer!)
Tip: After dipping each cookie, hit fork on side of bowl (or double boiler) so excess chocolate goes back into the creamy mix.
