What Changes Affect Our Choice of Senior Lingerie?
Most of us view life differently at this phase of our life than we did in our younger days which affects our choice of senior lingerie. For example, I have more disposable income now than I did when younger so I am able to occasionally buy luxury items like expensive lingerie for myself. I am also more comfortable in my own skin at this age and care less about what other people think. That means I wear what I like without questioning if I am “dressing my age”. I choose my lingerie, and all my clothing actually, based on how I feel while wearing them.
Despite having more confidence now than when younger, the changes in my body from hormones and other factors influence my purchase decisions. Over the years my skin lost some of its elasticity and my breasts now sag. My tummy is not exactly flat anymore. Furthermore, I am not as flexible as I used to be so I don’t want to contort my body to get into my lingerie. For these reasons, I gravitate toward nightwear that I can take on and off easily. I also need clothing with adequate breast support and that includes lingerie. I stay far away from super tight lingerie, preferring to stick with soft free-flowing nightgowns. It’s more about comfort for me than vanity, but I’ll admit I do like to cover up a bit more these days than in my younger days.
